Golden Umbrella

Background

Golden Umbrella is a Non-Profit Organization which provides services to elderly and handicapped individuals to facilitate their ability to live independently.  The organization was suffering from internal stresses which were inhibiting its ability to carry out its purpose.

Carol Treadway, the Executive Director, contacted Dick Franks to help improve the environment and the Golden Umbrella's ability to carry out its purpose.  Below is a letter from Ms. Treadway on completion of the process.

Letter of Appreciation

Dear Dr. Franks:

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the outstanding training you provided to the management staff of the Golden Umbrella.  As you know, we were in the midst of a difficult time interpersonally and were headed in a negative rather than a positive direction.

Your hard work taking us through the first process of problem identification helped us see that there indeed was a way out.  The detail and accuracy of your final analysis was apparent.  The second step, Conflict Resolution, brought this very divided group back together again.  Several managers used your resolution method immediately following the training with extremely positive results.  The turn around was nothing short of a miracle for all of us.  Without exception, everyone in the class felt it was extremely valuable and applicable in all aspects of our lives, personal and professional.   Our strained relationships are healing and we are all working together with a positive attitude and a method to solve conflicts as they arise.  The training certainly exceeded my expectations.

I would be happy to discuss your success with our group with anyone who is considering you for their training.  Please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Carole Treadway
Executive Director
